Description:
To present a module(s) of the Goodwill International’s Soft Skills program. This program is part of Goodwill’s employment training programs providing instruction to youth with barriers to employment to provide them a skillset that will make it easier to obtain and retain employment. The volunteer facilitator(s) will be provided with the instructor’s manual, the participant workbook and copies of the PowerPoint slides to prepare for the program. There will be 2-3 pre-presentation meetings with employment program manager and team to assist in preparation. As well a post program debriefs. The goal of these meetings is to ensure the volunteer is comfortable and has a forum to provide input into the presentation.
Skills:
We invite you to bring your experience and enthusiasm. The volunteers should believe in empowering individuals with barriers to employment by providing skills and information not previously available to them. • Public speaking • Presentation of written material • Knowing how to use a PowerPoint presentation desirable, but not mandatory
